I began dancing at the age of 2 and then later in 1979 I began my classical ballet studies with Sharon Long in Tupelo MS, where I continued my dance education throughout High School and early college.

During and since that time I have had many opportunities to study under and dance with many different professional dancers and companies in workshops and performances such as Anne Burton Avery of the Atlanta Ballet, Linda Divin of Ballet Austin, the Joffrey Ballet, and many others. I have performed with Ballet Mississippi, and was an active member of The Mississippi Dance Association for many years.

I spent 9 years with the Tupelo Ballet Company.  I performed in the Nutcracker for 10 years where I performed many different roles including several solo performances. I have also danced in a variety of other full length performances such as Coppelia, Cinderella, and others.

I have been trained in many different forms of dance arts including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip-hop, Cheer/Dance team dance, and Tap.

I began teaching in 1993 and now that I have opened a studio locally my vision is to grow our dance program until we can support our own communtiy Ballet and Dance Company here in New Albany.
